The first time I read "Counting the Cost" by Liz Adair I started reading it about 9 or 10 PM, could not put it down and finished it at about 6 AM.
Suggestion: Buy the book and start reading it early in the day.

It chronicles their love for each other and their life together in the primitive surroundings found in 1930's New Mexico. Liz's mastery of the story telling art will keep you laughing, crying, surprised and wondering what could possibly happen next from page one to the end. Truly a delightful book.
